This Thursday, July 24, the Elbert County Planning Commission will be hearing the Verde Ridge Development. We urge all community members who are able to attend to please take the time to join us at the Ag Building on Thursday at 7 PM. Whether or not you choose to speak to the Commission, your presence speaks to your concern regarding responsible development in Elbert County.
*
If you would like a review of concerns about the project, the Elbert County Community and Development Services Office has prepared a Staff Report that is available for review. It is apparent from the questions asked by the referral agencies and the response from the developer that there are a number of inconsistencies and problems that ought be resolved before Verde Ridge, LLC should be allowed to move forward.
*
If you want to speak, please do so. Typically, the opportunity for public input will be provided after the project's presentation. Time will be limited, so please be prepared, concise, factual, and, as always, respectful.
