THE GABRIEL FOUNDATION - THE PUEBLO RESCUE
On January 20, 2010, The Gabriel Foundation was involved in the rescue of 42 parrots in Pueblo Colorado. The conditions at the home were horrific; no heat, no running water, no working toilet, filth. Please watch the following YouTube video to see how The Gabriel Foundation, located in Elizabeth, CO helped to save these birds. When you're done, please forward this link to anyone you know who cares about the welfare of all living creatures.
Would you like to volunteer at TGF? The Gabriel Foundation will be holding another Volunteer Orientation on Sunday, February 7th from 12:00 PM until 2:30 PM at the Aviary and Adoption Center, located @ 39520 County Road 13, Elizabeth, CO. Please download a volunteer application from the website: www.thegabrielfoundation.org and bring it with you. You will receive a history of The Gabriel Foundation, take a tour of the facilities, learn how to understand parrot body language, and find out how volunteers can make a difference for the birds. RSVP to volunteers@thegabrielfoundation.org if you are able to attend.
The Gabriel Foundation is a 501(c)(3) avicultural and veterinary affiliated non-profit parrot welfare organization providing for the needs of parrots everywhere through each of its seven programs: Education outreach, adoption, rehabilitation, long term foster care, sanctuary, rescue and conservation. Tax ID 84-1396085

Reminder: The Kiowa Conservation District has received grant money to be used in assisting "landowners in a wide variety of land resource management conservation practices" such as grazing management practices (cross fencing, grass seeding for re-vegetation); tree plantings and noxious weed list "B" species control.
