State Initiative Town Hall Meeting

A Town Hall style meeting to discuss the pros and cons of the initiatives that appear on the 2008 ballot will be hosted by the Democratic Candidates for Board of County Commissioners. This discussion replaces the final Meet the Candidates that had been scheduled when the Debates were canceled. Moderators will be a representative of the Republican and the Democratic Parties. Quilt for a Day Teamwork Challenge

The run wil leave from the Stagecoach in Franktown and end up at Casey Jones Park Pavilion in Elizabeth, with an escort from the Elizabeth Fire Department. A representative will be on hand to turn over the gifts to the Elizabeth Fire Department for distribution through the Elizabeth Firefighters Community Foundation (EFCF) the week before Christmas. All donations will go to kids in Elbert County. Members of the public are invited to bering their kids to Casey Jones Park on Nov. 2nd from 1 PM to 3 PM for candy and visits with Santa. Unwrapped gifts and monetary donations are being accepted through October 30th at Integrity Auto Repair, 33555 CR. 37 between 8 AM and 6 PM, Monday through Friday.
