The Town of Elizabeth, in partnership with Colorado State University and the Colorado Department of Local Affairs invites community members to a presentation to review conceptual design plans for the Gesin’s building at 165 S. Main Street and for the three Town Parks, Larmer, Bandt and Shepard. The presentations will be held at Town Hall, Tuesday, September 14th at 6:00 PM. The Town has held several open houses and community workshops to seek input regarding the parks and the Main Street property. Input from earlier meetings helped provide goals and direction for the designs. The September 14th presentation is a culmination of the project incorporating the input for potential redevelopment of 165 S. Main and the three parks. Through the jointly sponsored program with Colorado State University, the State of Colorado Department of Local Affairs and the Town of Elizabeth; students are offered a unique opportunity to gain practical experience, while the Town benefits from services at a reduced rate. The two projects are anticipated to cost approximately $6,500, with the Department of Local Affairs funding $2,900 of the project and the Town matching the remaining $3,600. If you have additional questions or want additional information please contact Stacey Yarrington, Town Planner or Chris La May, Town Administrator at (303) 646-4166.
