The Elbert County Sheriff's Office has announced that on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, several local agencies will be holding training sessions at the new Elbert County Courthouse in Kiowa. Because the courtrooms and offices are currently vacant (the courts will be moving in shortly), and most of the work is at or near completion, this is a perfect time to run simulations. The Sheriff's Office asks that the public be aware that SWAT teams will be in and around the new courthouse from sun up to possibly as late as sun down.
