Elbert County has signed an agreement for reverse 911 service. The service will be a web-based, opt-in program with an opt-in mechanism for those who do not use computers. More information will be coming as it comes available.

Although we have had some much-needed snow over the last two weeks, western Elbert County remains in a D1 Drought, or moderate drought condition, and eastern Elbert County is in a D0 Abnormally Dry condition per the U.S. Drought Monitor as of March 31, 2009. Praying Hands Ranch is a non-profit committed to meeting the needs of mentally, emotionally and physically challenged children and adults in a ranch-environment therapeutic center.
