Elbert County Health & Environment's 2010 Seasonal Flu Vaccination Clinics start on Tuesday, November 9th. The walk in clinics take place on Tuesdays, from 8 AM to Noon and 1:30 PM to 4 PM, as follows: November 9th, 16th, 30th, December 14th and 21st. Clinic for Domestic Violence Victims: Date & Time by appointment only. The clinic is held in the Women's Crisis and Family Outreach Center, Bank of the West Building. Description: This free clinic teams a social worker from the Women's Crisis and Family Outreach Center with a volunteer attorney to assist with legal and other support needs for the victims of domestic violence. Elbert County and Lincoln County residents are served.

The Friends of the Elizabeth Library was created in 1987 to support the Library. The major fund raiser for the Friends of the Library is our used book sale. There are always books and videos for sale at the little shop in the library and once a year we have a large, week-long sale at the beginning of summer. Stop by and visit the book sale. 2011 Seedling Tree Program Begins! Order Forms become available on the Conservation Districts Websites. Orders are accepted November, 2010 through Mid March, 2011. The Kiowa, Agate and Double El Conservation Districts are able to sell these trees in cooperation with the Colorado State Forest Service Nursery. These trees are to be planted for conservation purposes such as windbreaks, snow fences, wildlife habitat, erosion control and reforestation. (The annual Windbreak Design Assistant Workshop will be 12/1/2010. See below for details) Landowners preorder and pay for the trees during the order window, November through Mid March. Trees are distributed early April in time for spring planting.
