There are a number of items of interest scheduled to be heard by the BOCC and referral agencies over the next two weeks. On Tuesday night of this week, the Bandera project's water plan will be reviewed by the Elbert County Water Advisory Board, as will the greater Town of Elizabeth area. On Wednesday of this week, the Board of County Commissioners will be hearing the proposed transportation oversight committee.
*
Next week, on Wednesday evening, Verde Ridge PUD will be heard by the BOCC in an evening session. And the Planning Commission will be deciding on the West Elbert County Transportation Master Plan. It was delayed a week due to an oddity in the plan: The development company for the SuperSlab is named four (4) times in the document. The study and plan were paid for by tax payer dollars ($75,000 matching grant from Colorado's Department of Local Affairs). While the plan is well thought of, there was unanimous opposition from the Commission, and clear opposition from a number of citizens who attended the meeting to a single corporation being listed by name in a general planning document.
